How to watch movies from your ipod onto the tv?

I have a nano chromatic (4generation) and i get tired off watching movies on the screen because its so damn tiny. I heard if u have a AV cable you could connect that to your ipod and tv and watch movies on your tv, but ive tried that already and it doesn’t work. Need help anyone know what to do.

I have latest version of itunes and about 15 movies on it. I bought an ipod video of my friend and when I go to put my movies and music videos on the ipod it tells my they cant be played on this itunes. The movies and music videos are all mp4 formats but I cant get them on my itunes. Does anyone know what to do?
My videos are in mp4 format but wont transfer from my itunes to my ipod… Does anyone know what I should do?

i have an ipod and i want to put a movie on to it that i ripped form a dvd, but i need to make its resolution 320-240. what is the best mobie file resolution changer that is totaly free, and works with mp4 files?
